Abstract

This an experiment was conducted using “Aittemi,” a source of floor impact sound that mimics the running of actual children, on 10 types of indoor shoes, 10 types of mats, and their combinations. For mats, additional experiments were conducted using existing impact sources, the tapping machine and a rubber ball, for comparison with the Aittemi. When Aittemi was used as the impact source, performance could be distinguished based on the structure of the test subjects, confirming that Aittemi is a discerning impact source for evaluating both indoor shoes and mats. Furthermore, since Aittemi simulates the running of actual children, it is expected to provide a realistic measure of noise reduction when indoor shoes and mats are applied in apartment complexes in South Korea. From the results of experiments using traditional impact sources on mats, it was found that the tapping machine could excessively evaluate the performance of the specimens, whereas the rubber ball might underestimate it. Therefore, these two traditional impact sources are not suitable for performance evaluation of mats in terms of reflecting real-life situations.

실제 어린이의 뛰어다님을 모사하는 바닥충격음 발생원인 “아이뜀이”를 활용하여 실내화 10종, 매트류 10종 및 그 조합 10종에 대한 실험을 실시하였다. 매트류에 대해서는 “아이뜀이”와의 충격원 비교를 위해 기존 충격원인 태핑머쉰과 고무공에 대한 실험도 병행 시행하였다. “아이뜀이”를 충격원으로 하였을 때, 실험 대상 구조별로 성능 구분을 할 수 있어 실내화나 매트류에 대한 변별력이 있는 충격원임을 확인할 수 있었다. 그리고, “아이뜀이”는 실제 어린이의 뛰어다님을 모사하였기 때문에 우리나라 공동주택에서 실내화나 매트류를 적용하였을 경우의 현실적인 저감량을 파악할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 매트류에 대한 기존 충격원의 실험 결과, 태핑머쉰은 시편의 성능을 과도하게 평가할 수 있는 소지가 있었고 반대로 고무공은 과소하게 평가할 수 있음을 확인하였다. 따라서 두 가지의 기존 충격원은 실제 상황을 반영한다는 측면에서는 매트류의 성능 평가에 적절한 충격원은 아니라고 할 수 있다.
