Analysis of the acoustical characteristics of dynamic speaker mounted on car door 자동차 도어에 장착된 다이내믹 스피커의 음향특성분석

Abstract

The study investigated how the space, panels, and structural elements of a car door affect the acoustical properties of the speaker. Although the car door is not structurally airtight, it acoustically functioned as a sealed enclosure; this is because the large internal volume of the door prevented the air suspension effect required to exhibit the characteristics of a ported enclosure. In addition to the speaker's mechanical resonance, secondary resonance occurred in the door panels and structural components due to the speaker's output. The door trim served to suppress this secondary resonance, while the specific properties of the resonance varied depending on the positioning of the door frame and panels. These findings will serve as fundamental data for improving door structures to enhance the sound quality and acoustic performance of automotive multimedia system.

자동차 도어에서의 공간과 판넬 및 구조물이 다이내믹 스피커의 음향 특성에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 자동차의 도어 구조는 설계의 관점에서 완전한 밀폐 조건을 만족하지 않음에도 불구하고 밀폐형 인클로저의 형태에 가까운 특성임을 확인할 수 있었다. 이는 도어의 내부 체적이 위상반전형 인클로저로 동작하는 데에 요구되는 에어 서스펜젼 특성을 갖기에 상대적으로 매우 크기 때문인 것으로 해석된다. 다이내믹 스피커의 기계적인 공명만이 아니라, 다이내믹 스피커의 출력으로 인한 도어 판넬과 구조물의 2차 공진도 함께 발생하고 있다. 이때 도어의 트림은 판넬에서 발생하는 2차 공진을 억제하는 가운데, 도어의 프레임과 판넬의 위치에 따라 2차 공진의 특성이 변하였다. 이들은 자동차에서 사용하는 멀티미디어의 음향 특성과 음질 향상에 요구되는 도어의 구조 개선에 필요한 기초 자료로 활용될 것이다.
